Go beyond Interest Inventories when career counselling young people

Interesting article here about the level of self (and other)-insight that teenagers have. It seems that they are very poor at judging some traits and abilities. Considering that career counselling is often predicated upon a self-assessment of strengths, personality and abilities, this suggests that more objective methods (i.e. tests) would be important to use alongside.
